VP Public Relations - Jeff Bolognese & Dan Mandl:

  • Continue to submit notices to dateline Goddard.
  • Don Moore submitted publicity add to GEWA to help promote Goddard Toastmasters.
  • Status of next club newsletter - Dan needs articles. All club officers are requested to submit articles.
  • Club picnic, since building 28, room E210 is available for all meetings except July 22 and August 12, 1998. Either of these dates would be appropriate for scheduling our club picnic, however, the July 22 date was determined to be the preferred date since the Humorous Speech contest is held in August and we wanted to avoid too "special" meetings in a row. Dan Mandl will contact Quinton Barker to reserve the Pavilion.
  • Jeff Bolognese and Bill Pullen will work on the awards nominations to be presented at the club picnic meeting. Club members are welcome to serve on this committee to help select awards categories and recipients, contact Jeff Bolognese to volunteer.

VP of Membership -Pat McHale & Don Moore:

  • Identify any club concerns - attendance is improving due to phone calls to absent members.
  • Pat McHale will draft a sign-up sheet for TM mailing list to be used for Celebrate Goddard Day.

    Treasurer - Michael Parrish:

  • $76 was deposited to our checking account for reimbursement of contest cost from Area 45. Current account balances are $136.66 for checking and $162.76 for savings accounts.
  • Note: this balance does not reflect all costs (i.e. the food platter purchased for the Area Speech contest and the educational material purchased for the upcoming module). Since club funds are low, the committee felt that we should identify members who still owe the $6.00 club dues.

    Secretary - Jane Liu:

  • Meeting minutes, continue to e-mail club meeting minutes, if Jane is absent - fax agenda notes to x1699
