MINUTES FOR 10/08/97 CLUB MEETING
The meeting started at 11:35 A.M.. The Toastmaster of the Day was Regina Cody. Herman Gallardo gave the Word for the Day. There were two prepared speeches : Eva Illescas-Stattel presented #3 speech from the Basic Manual on "Hubble Space Telescope Functional Simulation System"; and Angela Upshur presented her icebreaker speech on "My Home Town". Paul McCeney was the Table Topics Master, and nine persons tried out the Table Topics contest.The General Evaluator was Margaret Pavlinic. Tex Baird evaluated Eva Illescas-Stattel. Karen Pham evaluated Angela Upshur. The Whisker Counter was Oswin Findlay. The Time Keeper was Bill Pullen. Grammarian was Jim McLean. The Ballot Counter was Barry Sherman.
The best Table Topics contestants was Oswin Findley. The best evaluator was Karen Pham. The best speaker was Angela Upshur.
We had two visitors : Kelly Ryan (Jeane's daughter) and Carl Taylor.
The meeting was adjourned at 1:00 P.M..
