MINUTES FOR 11/13/96 CLUB MEETING

The meeting started at 11:35 A.M.. The Toastmaster of the Day was Dan Mandl. Jeane Ryan creatively gave Thought of the Day. We had three prepared speeches : "Popular Opinions" by Frank Melenu; "Cross-Culture Shock" by Jane Liu; and "Be Your Own Advocate" by Herb Blodget.

The Table Topics Master was Pat McHale. There were five Table Topics contestants : Chris Scherer commented on quote by Martin Luther King; John Croft commented on quote by Confuscious; Jeane Ryan commented on quote by Helen Keller; a new comer, Jennifer Davis, commented on quote by Franklin D. Roosevelt; and Paul McCenery commented on quote by Dale Carnegie.

The General Evaluator was Jeff Bolognese. Michael Parrish evaluated Frank Melenu; Chris Scherer evaluated Jane Liu; and Pat Greco evaluated Herb Blodget. The Whisker Counter was Martha O'Bryan. The Time Keeper was Angie Upshur. Grammarian was John Croft. The Ballot Counter was Herman Gallardo.

The best Table Topics contestants was Jennifer Davis. The best evaluator was Pat Greco. And the best speaker was Herb Blodget. The meeting was adjourned at 1:00 P.M..
