MINUTES FOR 10/09/96 CLUB MEETING

The meeting started at 11:33 A.M.. The Toastmaster of the Day was Jeff Bolognese. We had two prepared speeches : "High Flight" by John Croft; and "Language Development - Learning How to Speak" by Liz Saniga. The Table Topics Master was Don Moore.

The seven Table Topics contestants were : "Better Presidentual Debaters" by Frank Melenu; "Fair/subjective/intellegent related to the media coverage" by John Croft; "What needs to be changed in the election process" by Eva Illescas; "Whether two-party system is most representative for the government" by Jeff Bolognese; "Whether voters should possess minimum understanding of government process in order to qualify to vote" by Kristen Lewis; "Views of separation of Church and States" by Jane Liu; and "Vision of America into 21st Century" by Herb Blodget.

The General Evaluator was Jeane Ryan. Martha O'Bryan evaluated John Croft; Dan Mandl evaluated Liz Saniga. The Whisker Counter was Herman Gallardo. The Time Keeper was Maureen Armbruster. Grammarian was Margaret Pavlinic.

The best Table Topics contestants was Kristen Lewis. The best evaluator was Martha O'Bryan. And the best speaker was a tie between John Croft and Liz Saniga. The meeting was adjourned at 12:45 P.M..
